As you likely already know, this movie is based on the rather popular YA urban fantasy novel of the same name, by Cassandra Clare. I'd love to spend this blog post talking about how awesome the book is, but honestly…I haven't read it. Still, I'm excited about the movie. And it's a great opportunity for us to give crap away. We so enjoy giving crap away!

Movie Tickets Giveaway: I'm Batman. And you can be Batman too!

Okay, you can't really be Batman, since he's the Batman. But you can have free movie tickets to The Dark Knight, courtesy of Two Fantasy Floozies. First, you have to listen to me ramble on about Batman. (Or you could just skip to the bottom.)

This list is by no means exclusive, but let's go through some of the many faces of Batman. Because you can't exactly go into The Dark Knight Rises without knowing the history.

Back in the day there was Adam West, who starred in the original Batman television series.


Give the guy a break.
That was a different era, and he was going for a different effect.


Then there was Michael Keaton, who starred in Batman and Batman Returns.


Very intimidating, yes?

Val Kilmer starred in Batman Forever.


This guy is usually a blond.

I like George Clooney, but the movie...


The public was particularly fond of this movie. Okay, not so much.


And then there was Christian Bale. I just adore Bale as Batman. He's handsome and dark, and he looks like he could totally kick someone's ass while being all dark and brooding. At the same time, he pulls off the Bruce Wayne playboy thing. I know the credit doesn't all go to Bale, but I loved the last two Batman movies.

This weekend Snow White and the Huntman comes out! A movie that I have been impatiently waiting for!

This isn’t your mother’s Snow White, lying on her back in an enchanted comatose sleep and waiting for a brave prince to wake her up with a kiss.

NO!!

This is a REVOLUTION!

I know what you’re thinking. Calm down, Kenya. But I can’t!

Finally, I am going to get the Snow White that I want!

A kick-ass, sword wielding heroine that is going to seize her throne from the queen!

First I should explain my hysteria.

Like most girls, I grew up on Disney, devouring every princess movie known to man.

However, Snow White is one of those movies I’ve always hated for SIX reasons.

ONE: The whole idea of only ONE female could be the fairest of them all, always left a bad taste in my mouth.

TWO: Snow does everything but defend herself! I mean for god sake she has the power to communicate with animals! Surely that power could have assisted in some way.

Nope! This ditzy broad just twirls and sings to her forest friends.

THREE: When she is finally able to escape due to a man, she meets the dwarfs.

And what a bunch of great guys they are. She’s allowed to stay with them as long as she cooks their food and cleans up after them.

FOUR: She eats the freaking apple! WTF! At ten years old, I knew that was a bad idea.

FIVE: Let’s not forget that the necrophilia prince pretty much assaults her with a kiss while she’s sleeping.

SIX: Additionally, I always felt bad for the Queen too. The queen was just a product of an extreme patriarch society!

Okay... Okay..... Okay.....

perhaps I’ve taken my hatred to far!

Nonetheless, I am so hyped to see Snow White and the Huntsman!!

Thor is in it!

The Queen is wicked and psycho! Yes!
